I have been utterly BLESSED with this opportunity. News that Art Spiegelman was coming to the Asheville Civic Center this fall reached my ears in early spring. I almost peed myself. We read his graphic novel Maus for European Literature class last year and I was absolutely amazed by it. He has made it BIG as a graphic novelist/ comic book artist. MY DREAM. So of course I wanted to try and make it to the Civic Center to see him. BUT IT GOT EVEN BETTER. My school contacted him and his agent and he's coming TO MY SCHOOL TO SPEAK. so I'll be heading off to school this sunday. big bad senior year. I'm kind of scared. not about senior year, but about being a prefect and having a shitload of responsibility.
